CONTACT: PRESIDENT@WOMENANGLERSMN.COM

I joined WAM seven years ago with the goal of becoming a more independent angler. I've learned a ton, especially about new species, and made lots of new friends. As President the past three years, I've been fortunate to work with a strong and dedicated board. This is a huge organization with a lot of moving parts, and it truly takes a village. I’m very proud that our calendar of events included something for everyone: trips, in-person and virtual tournaments, volunteer opportunities, sponsor meetups, member meetings, and education. The Master Angler program which was one of the reasons I joined WAM continues to be a member favorite. Our private Facebook page has excellent engagement and offers a supportive environment to learn and cheer each other on.  I'm especially proud of the impact WAM made on the fishing community through volunteering and donating $25,000 per year.. My primary goals continue to be increasing member engagement, fostering a supportive environment to give women and children opportunities to get more involved and improve their fishing skills, while increasing WAM's visibility in the fishing industry. I've been married for the last 27 years to my favorite fishing buddy, Scott. We have two grown boys and live in Orono.
